Class cancelled at Summerville High for championship game after initial plan for eLearning

Class has been called off Friday for students at Summerville High School as their football team travels to play in the AAAAA Division 1 State Championship.

Dorchester School District 2 announced Wednesday that Summerville High School will now be closed Dec. 13 after initially announcing an eLearning day would take place.

Students and staff will get the day off to support the Green Wave as they take on Dutch Fork for the title. DD2 emphasized the building will be closed to the public, and no eLearning activities will take place.

The missed school day will be rescheduled for a later date, according to DD2.
