Michigan City Area Schools has released its calendar for the 2025-26 school year. Highlights include:

September 1, 2025 – Labor Day (No School)
September 24, 2025 – Early Release Day and Parent Conferences
October 16-17, 2025 – Fall Break (No School)
November 4, 2025 – Early Release Day
November 24-28, 2025 – Thanksgiving Break (No School)
December 22, 2025 – January 2, 2026 – Winter Break (No School)
January 5, 2026 – eLearning Day (Asynchronous – posted assignments)
January 19, 2026 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day (No School)
February 16, 2026 – Presidents Day (No School)
February 26, 2026 – Early Release Day and Parent Conferences
April 3, 2026 – Good Friday (No School)
April 6-10, 2026 – Spring Break (No School)
April 30, 2026 – Early Release Day
May 25, 2026 – Memorial Day (No School)
May 28, 2026 – Last Day of School for Students
June 2 -30, 2026 – Summer School
June 7, 2026 – Michigan City High School Graduation

On Early Release days, students will be dismissed early to allow teachers and staff to participate in professional development. Middle and high school students will be dismissed at 11:00 am; elementary students will be dismissed at 12:00 noon. Students will receive assignments to complete at home during the afternoon.

On the scheduled January 5th “Asynchronous” eLearning Day, students will sign in from home to complete posted assignments. Additional “Synchronous” eLearning Days may be scheduled in the event of inclement weather; students will sign in from home on these days for live instruction.
