Electricity

Electricity is a form of energy resulting from the presence and flow of electric charge. It can be generated from various sources, including fossil fuels, nuclear energy, and renewable resources such as wind, solar, and hydropower. Electricity powers homes, businesses, and industries, facilitating the operation of lighting, heating, appliances, and electronic devices. It exists in two main forms: alternating current (AC), where the flow of electric charge periodically reverses direction, and direct current (DC), where the charge flows in a single direction. The transmission of electricity over long distances is accomplished via power lines and substations, while its consumption is measured in units called kilowatt-hours (kWh). Overall, electricity is a fundamental component of modern life, playing a crucial role in technological development and daily activities.
